I think this is the fourth painting I started after moving here. This one I kinda dragged out. I asked myself at one point "are you really going to measure out all those windows?" The answer was obvious .. I had to. I am sometimes torn between reacting viscerally and striving for accuracy as if making a blueprint. I have a slightly different version of this one done under an awning when it was raining. It rained almost everyday here for awhile in July and August. I was happy to have nailed that white truck grabbing the sunlight as creeps across the middleground.
